Fallen Trees

The whole world is there in trees, laid out for all to see. Fallen trees damaged, then miraculously healing themselves. New growth from apparent dead limbs. A slow definite purpose, wonderful beauty. Wandering through woodland my mind plays tricks on me. I see a striking woodland bird scurrying among the leaves. Or is it simply a gnarled twisted stump. I see a fallen tree in some ancient pool all rock, root and grass. My mind is over active, there can be only one explanation for what I see hidden but in plain view. A Day In The Life of A Twenty

The drawer slides open with an imperceptible rush of air. Freed from the constraints of its hidden vault, an object of such desire. The human interaction with machine and computer. The three working as one creating signals, electrical impulses, movements until cash appears at the ATM. Crisp, new, ready for the world. A twenty, what currency doesn’t matter Dollar, Pound or Euro the results are the same across the world. Its journey begins. Bringer of joy, bringer of misery. Three Amigos

The world rushes by this city Sunday. The three amigos on the steps dancing, chilling, singing. Fifty, sixty or even seventy who knows? Tired faces, worn out clothes, shabby un-chic ready for anything caring for nothing. The great and the good, rush here, don’t look there quickly cross the street, “they might want money.” A tape machine with tinny tones of Bob Marley ‘Jammin’ straight from 77.
